Alan had always been a writer and communicator, but fell in love with advertising as a sophomore at the University of Georgia, where he later graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Advertising. Go, Dawgs!

Alan spent years working for and learning from some of the great agencies in the world, like Ogilvy and DDB. His clients included Ben Hogan Golf, The Dallas Morning News, Borden, Frito-Lay, Texas Commerce Bank, Haggar Clothing Co. and Tabasco.

Alan was hired away from the agency business by Haggar soon after the company went public. As their first CMO, he led the marketing, merchandising and sales team to grow Haggar Wrinkle Free Khakis into a $100-million product line.

Alan’s ability to identify and assemble talented teams in both the agency and corporate world helps Freeman+Leonard’s clients produce world-class marketing.

When Alan’s not on the phone or on LinkedIn, he’s playing golf and keeping up with his 16 grandkids.
